Position Summary…
What you’ll do…
Leads and participates in teams by using and sharing resources, information, and tools. Identifies customer needs and business priorities. Coordinates and executes work assignments. Provides advice, feedback, and support to ensure timelines and work quality are achieved. Models and helps team members adapt to change or new challenges.
Installs various irrigation systems components (for example, wiring, controllers, valves, heads, rotors, main and lateral lines, drip lines, bubblers). Maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs irrigation systems to ensure efficient operation. Conducts tasks such as pressure testing, trenching, and pulling pipe (potable and non-potable systems).
Operates special and/or heavy equipment and vehicles . Orders irrigation supplies, spare parts, and other equipment as authorized. Obtains quotes for services from outside contractors as needed.
Recommends and assists in the prioritization of upgrades and replacement of systems and equipment. Responds to work order requests and needs for assistance through various communication methods.
Leverages technology (for example, phones, tablets, laptops) to complete work orders and maintain records, logs, and documentation.
Maintains a safe work environment. Observes and adheres to all safety policies and procedures. Reports all safety violations to management. Ensures all assigned equipment, tools, safety items, vehicles, trailers, and other items are maintained in proper working order by following proper maintenance and inventory schedules.
Performs seasonal maintenance for winterizing irrigation systems and starting them up in the spring.
Demonstrates, promotes, and supports compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity. Uses the Open Door Policy.
Performs other facility-related maintenance duties as assigned.
Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans; using the Open Door Policy; and applying these in executing business processes and practices.
Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborating with managers, co-workers, customers, and other business partners; identifying priorities, deadlines, and expectations; carrying out tasks; communicating progress and information; determining and recommending ways to address improvement opportunities; and adapting to and learning from change, difficulties, and feedback.

The hourly wage range for this position is $21.00-$39.00*

*The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.

Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
