Walmart Commerce Technologies’ mission is to enable businesses worldwide to better serve their customers with technologies and SaaS solutions powered by Walmart. Our team was
established
in
2022
and we are transforming scaled Walmart technologies into white-label offerings for other retailers and sellers.
As a Senior Manager, Software Engineering on the Walmart Commerce Technologies team you will build and lead an engineering team responsible for
building out a new Retail Media
SaaS
product and
business at Walmart. You will have the unique opportunity to commercialize mature enterprise systems and enable them for a whole industry of retailers. You will launch and scale a product and ensure operational and engineering excellence.

What
you’ll
do:
Lead an engineering team that is commercializing
our Re
t
ail Media product.
Drive strategic technical decisions to transform our current home-grown technologies into a SaaS offering
Establish durable ways of working with product peers and other internal engineering teams to commercialize our current systems.
Build and coach a team of ICs and align their strengths to outcomes.
Foster a culture of innovation and operational excellence
What
you’ll
bring:
2+ years of experience mentoring other engineers and 6+ years as an IC in engineering
Background in retail
or ad
-tech, SaaS, or building multi-tenant platforms or services.
Experience architecting technical strategies for platform products that can serve many customers.
Experience in building and leading lean engineering teams.
Ability to clearly articulate a technical vision and energize engineers towards outcomes.
Experience working with large scale systems and cloud native systems.

The annual salary range for this position is $143,000.00-$286,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications…

Option 1: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 5 years’ experience in software engineering or related area. Option 2: 7 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
2 years’ supervisory experience.
