US Omni Platform product team is focused on improving Walmart
customer experience across both physical & digital and making Walmart
the most exciting place to shop. With 4000+ brick and mortar stores and
thousands of other suppliers fulfilling Walmart’s online/in-store orders for
over 1 billion customers – the challenge and complexity is pronounced! We

in small agile teams to revolutionize the fulfilment landscape. As a leader
in the supply chain group, you are accountable and responsible for
delivering best-in-class experiences for several critical products/platforms
that helps serve our customers in the most cost-effective manner in
multiple geographies and businesses.
As Director, UX of this team, you will drive key experiences in the area of
Fulfilment, Transportation, Real Estate, Manufacturing and Replenishment.
This is a senior-level role with significant responsibility in creativity,
technical expertise, and business domain understanding required.
Oversee the overall strategy for design and execution of UX across
multiple areas.
You’ll make an impact by:

Delivering at the intersection of brilliant design, compelling user
experience, and business value.

Drive platform product mindset and user experience strategy and
innovation with successful delivery of product roadmaps

Establish and communicate effective design processes through a
strong understanding of user-centered design techniques coupled
with practical experience in how a design team should collaborate
cross-functionally for maximum effectiveness delivering solutions.

Lead strong teams through rapidly evolving, complex demands,
including multiple projects with dependencies on other internal
teams.

Gain strategic alignment within and across the organization

Driving simple and cohesive user experience solutions across a
portfolio of projects by translating business needs into actions and
roadmaps.
Synthesizing ideas from multiple sources and across industries and
geographies to identify UX needs / opportunities (including
quantitative consumer insights, qualitative customer research,
existing customer behavior and feedback, future trends and
forecasts, and competitive landscape).

Participating in efforts to understand and address the root causes of
associate and customer issues and deliver insights that help shape
the product roadmap.

Designing scalable, dependable, extensible, and maintainable user
experience frameworks and roadmaps.

Balancing creativity with the heritage and design assets of Walmart;
using best practices to guide the creation of patterns and styles and
leveraging existing design libraries.

Continuously improving the effectiveness of your designs and ways
of working.

Building an inclusive and exceptional team.

Acting with urgency, taking ownership, and finding a way.
We’re looking for a dynamic leader who is…

Proven experience in Enterprise design and user experience in the
areas of Supply chain like fulfilment, replenishment, transportation,
real estate and manufacturing.

Expert level proficiency in user experience & research skills, uses
professional concepts to resolve critical issues and broad design
matters.

Problem-Solving Skills: You should be able to identify and solve
problems quickly and effectively. This includes anticipating potential
issues and coming up with innovative solutions.

As a design leader, you’ll likely be handling multiple projects
simultaneously. Strong project management skills, including the
ability to prioritize tasks, set goals, and keep your team on
schedule, are crucial.

Researches industry innovations and best practices and shares
relevant information to integrate new designs into our supply chain
and business needs and environment.

Ability to adjust from detailed to strategic view and translates
findings into potential tactics and strategies to meet functional goals
and objectives.

Comes up with novel design and architecture, processes and
patterns for large programs within the organization.

Reviews and approves design of projects.

Works with other leaders across the organization to ensure a good
user experience across teams.

Directs multiple teams in the timely generation of multiple solutions
to a problem; sets priority

Provides design feedback that is timely and appropriate to the
project’s context and that fits within the larger organizational
context

Persuasively communicates design concepts and leads brainstorm
sessions with senior and executive leadership through strong
sketching and storyboarding ability

Persuasively communicate design concepts with senior and
executive leadership using strong oral and written communication
skills • Directs the development of complex prototypes for
communication and research purposes

Directs user research and site analytics to determine root-cause of
usability and/or customer experience issues and to inform the
definition of experience design principles and strategy

Directs competitive analysis that includes experience, technology,
and core business insights; extracts and analyzes trends

Estimates scope and size of workstreams from a cross-functional UX
perspective and with a larger business context in mind; plans and
sets milestones for key deliverables for multiple teams

Breaks large problems into workstreams and develops a plan that
fixes the larger problem

Understands and represents points of view from all UX disciplines to
the larger team and executive leadership

Compare solutions to industry best practices and evaluates quality
of a design solution

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Computer Science,
Engineering, UX / Design, Product Management or related field and 15
years’ experience in product management or related field OR 12 years’
experience in product management or related field. 6 years’ experience
building and leading high performing teams. 6 years’ experience leading
cross-functional teams.

The annual salary range for this position is $130,000.00-$260,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications…

Option 1: Bachelor’s degree in UI/UX design, graphic design, visual communication, product design, computer science, information technology, or related area and 6 years’ experience in UI/UX, interactive and visual design, electronics art, multimedia design, or related area. Option 2: 8 years’ experience in UI/UX, interactive and visual design, electronics art, multimedia design, or related area.
3 years’ supervisory experience.
