What to Expect
Tesla’s SQA Infotainment Team is looking for a Test Engineer focused around User Interface Software. Join the talented team that is responsible for validating Tesla’s firmware releases and fast paced software development release cycles. The ideal candidate combines excellent software testing skills with strong automation scripting knowledge, as well as a passion for electric vehicles.
What You’ll Do
Develop detailed test plans to validate Tesla’s User Interface software and improve existing vehicle testing strategies
Develop test scripts to automate the User Interface
Develop framework to improve automation pipeline
Validate vehicle functionality
Integrate existing automation results with daily/weekly reports

Investigate issues reported by customers in the field, internal Test Engineers, and your own testing
Execute functional and regression tests as a part of release testing and triage results
What You’ll Bring
Degree in Computer Science, Physics, Computer Engineering,Information Technology, Nanotechnology, Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
1+ years Software Testing experience
1+ years of Automated scripting experience
Demonstrable experience solving difficult QA problems (scalability, reliability, reporting, parallelization, etc)
Passionate about troubleshooting failures to determine root cause
Very comfortable with Linux environments and hardware-based testing setups
Experience with one or more scripting languages such as Perl, Ruby, Python, or Bash
Excellent communication skills and very detail oriented
Passionate about improving the customer experience
Passionate about Tesla’s mission
