What to Expect

As a Production Control (PC) Supervisor, you will be playing a critical role in the success of production at the Gigafactory. You will work primarily on the manufacturing floor and will be asked to work cross-functionally, interfacing with engineering, planning, and production to ensure production goals are being met.

Must be flexible to work the following shifts:

A: 7:00AM -7:00PM; Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and every other Wednesday

B: 7:00AM -7:00PM; Thursday, Friday, Saturday and every other Wednesday

C: 7:00PM – 7:00AM; Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and every other Wednesday

D: 7:00PM – 7:00AM; Thursday, Friday, Saturday and every other Wednesday

What You’ll Do

Provide effective supervision and coaching to assigned shift/employees to achieve the required quality and production goals
Maintain department records and inventories and manage the movement of product through the production area
Ensure that product is always in the process, plan and organize work for smooth operations
Ensure that standard operating procedures and engineering procedures are current, accurate and that all work is done in compliance to ensure maximum quality
Monitor to ensure that all employees comply with safety regulations and the plant’s safety program
Work with employees to resolve technical and personnel problems
Schedule employees to effectively meet production needs and to ensure vacation and other time off consistent with plant policies. Provide the shift to shift communication link in order to keep all team members working toward the same goals

What You’ll Bring
Minimum 4 year degree in related field, experience with evidence of exceptional ability, or equivalent
Must have experience in Production Control and strong knowledge of material flow methodologies including sequencing, kitting, repack, etc
5+ years of experience in manufacturing, supply chain and/or distribution and logistics experience desirable. Minimum of 3 years in a Supervisory/Management role
Demonstrated excellent communication skills, including ability to express well-reasoned, independent thought as well as ability to command the english language, both written and verbal
Understanding of lean manufacturing concepts with the ability to lead 5S and kaizen efforts for continuous improvement
Demonstrated ability to be a resilient change agent capable of leading organization through paradigm shifts
Strong knowledge of Production and Inventory Control within manufacturing environment with the ability to teach and coach others on best practices
