What You’ll Do
Directly supervises driver, hostler, and checkpoint teams
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
Coordinate regular maintenance on all vehicles; communicate with repair shop when needed
Ensure all fleet members have proper licensure and up-to-date training
Ensure safe driving practices and maintain yard accuracy
Tesla people leaders are responsible for a variety of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) assurance functions, including ensuring their teams’ safety training is current, documenting EHS incidents, proactively correcting workplace hazards in the areas, and empowering others to continuously improve operations
What You’ll Bring
Experience managing CDL drivers is preferred and personal driving experience
Experience implementing and improving standard operating procedures preferred
Proficient using Microsoft Office and customer account management software
Physical environment requires the employee to work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions
Ability to perform repetitive duties, including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods of time
Must be able to handle materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
Open availability to work all shifts, including mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays
