What to Expect
The Energy EE team designs the eyes, ears, and brains of Tesla’s AC & DC charging and residential/industrial energy storage products. This skilled and motivated individual will keep pushing this evolving industry forward by designing central processing boards, wireless/wired communication systems, circuits to ensure user and equipment safety, energy metering, thermal controls, system level components including breakers, contactors, and pyrofuses, and much more.
What You’ll Do
Design and develop RF hardware/system and/or antenna design for energy products.
Collaborative work with electrical, mechanical, firmware, EMC, design validation, thermal design, compliance, reliability, and manufacturing test engineers.
Start to finish ownership of wireless design – from specification through design, prototype, validation, and manufacturing.
What You’ll Bring
BS in Electrical Engineering, or 3+ years relevant work experience
Knowledge of RF hardware design or antenna design
Experience in RF schematics and layout practices and guidelines
Deep understanding of system-level RF Parametric (e.g. power, sensitivity, throughput, latency and etc)
Hands-on experience with RF lab test instruments
Knowledge of wireless industry standards and carrier specifications and required testing methodologies.
Debug experience on wireless radio systems at the conducted or radiated level
Experience in commercializing wireless products which require international regulatory certifications
Knowledge of electromagnetic simulation tools
