What to Expect
We are seeking a driven and motivated Engineering Technician to join our Electronic Devices Thermal Validation team. This individual will work very closely with multiple Engineering teams and is expected to drive validation tasks and work independently with minimal supervision. The work will include hands-on engagement involving thermal, mechanical, electrical, and control systems. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, a self-starter, and able to learn new concepts quickly.  
What You’ll Do

Perform thermal validation of Electronic Control Units (ECUs) at different ambient temperatures, using thermal chambers and at system (vehicle) level 

Assemble and disassemble electronics modules with precision and attention to detail 

Construct and install testing fixtures to ensure accurate and reliable test setups 

Fabricate and install thermocouples, pressure sensors, flow sensors and other instrumentation for comprehensive data collection, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of results 

Collaborate with engineering teams to develop and implement test setups, ensuring alignment with test requirements 

Autonomously conduct tests, collecting and recording data for analysis 

Perform post-processing of data obtained during testing, applying analytical techniques to extract meaningful insights 

Conduct triage on assembled components, identifying and reporting any issues to the relevant stakeholders 

Document test procedure, setups, and results clearly and concisely  

Efficiently handle multiple priorities, organize workload, and meet critical deadlines 

What You’ll Bring

2+ years of hands-on experience in manufacturing assembly of electronics, or validation of electronic assemblies as an Engineering Technician 

Proficiency in installation and operation of variety of sensors and gauges with a comprehensive understanding of their functionalities 

Fluent and proficient with common hand tools, power tools, and hardware for various assembly tasks 

Expertise in teardowns and the repair of electronic components, with a strong emphasis on constructing electronics assemblies 

Excellent teamwork/ interpersonal skills 

Good communication (both Written and Verbal) and documentation skills 

Experience with using an air flow bench, fan characterization, thermal interface material (TIM) application and testing preferred 

Experience with Linux, Python programming, Data Acquisition Systems and automation techniques preferred 

Familiarity with 3D printing, rapid prototyping methodologies, and CAD software preferred
