What to Expect
We’re seeking a highly skilled Silicon System Development and Validation Engineer to join our Autopilot Hardware team in Palo Alto, CA. As a key member of our team, you will develop firmware and scripts for silicon and system-level deployment, create debug tools, test and document for the Autopilot system.
What You’ll Do
Design, develop, and test high-quality C and Python code for silicon and system-level deployment
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve reliability and power efficiency
Develop and implement on-die routing algorithm and code for dojo application with collaboration with designers
Develop and implement high-speed IO link management solutions
Specify, design, and implement functionality and behaviors of different subsystems
Provide occasional remote intervention for system-level issues
Design software architecture and firmware implementation on hardware through integration, test, and high-volume manufacturing
Perform hands-on hardware bring-up, system debugging, and code optimization
Make performance and optimization trade-offs to meet product requirements
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
Proficiency in Python, C, and C++
Strong understanding of software fundamentals, including software design and maintainability
Experience with integrated silicon systems and firmware design
System-level understanding of on-die noc and high-speed IO and controllers (desired)
Familiarity with test-driven development and developer-driven automated testing
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Understanding of physics and basic principles (preferred)
Experience working with network protocols (preferred)
