What to Expect
As a Sheet Metal Technician with the new Construction team, you will have the opportunity to work on all phases of commercial construction. Skills in all areas of HVAC Sheet Metal are not necessarily required. The job can and will involve a variety of HVAC disciplines, and a strong candidate will be able to perform various sheet metal fabrication and equipment installation activities.
What You’ll Do
Working as a team with the entire Construction department, the Sheet Metal technician performs the new installation of Ductwork, Air Handling Equipment, supports, racks, related panels, and devices
Uses HVAC drawings, P&IDs, and shop/fabrication drawings to plan work scopes, install requested improvements, as well as troubleshoot and correct problems as they are discovered
Performs a wide variety of job scopes, from planning and execution to clean-up and material handling
Displays positive attitudes and practices good work ethics that reflect the mission, philosophy, and goals of the company
Complete tasks in a timely manner and provide feedback
What You’ll Bring
5+ years’ experience in HVAC Sheet Metal, journeyman level or higher, in industrial or commercial settings
Desire to pursue a C-1 and/or C-21 Nevada Contractor’s License within 3 months of employment (a plus)
Strong knowledge in installing and troubleshooting various HVAC systems; Ability to interpret HVAC drawings, specifications, shop/fabrication drawings, manufacturer’s instructions, SMACNA and IMC codes
Produce parts lists, work plans, and field measured fabrications based on drawings or field walks
Test and commission all work per Tesla procedures and building department code; ability to complete job scopes outside of normal core competencies as required; strong working knowledge of job site safety; ability to work at elevations up to 80 ft
Willingness to travel to other projects as needed
