What to Expect

Tesla is looking for a Audio Visual (AV) Project Manager in the Global AV & Events IT Engineering division who will work directly with Executive Team, Department Managers and Project Managers and other key stakeholders throughout all Tesla global sites. The AV Project Manager is fully responsible for the oversight and management of the operations and project cycle for Audio Visual (AV) Technology projects and Events.  They will interface with the customer to schedule work and coordinate services. The AV Project Manager is also responsible for supporting the stakeholders including evaluation, development and discipline. Maintaining Tesla’s culture of safety, quality, and efficiency in all aspects is crucial to the success of the overall operation.

What You’ll Do
Project   Planning and Execution: Plan, execute, and oversee technical projects from   initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and timeline.   Coordinate project resources, tasks, and dependencies effectively
Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Engineering teams,   stakeholders, and cross-functional departments to define project objectives,   requirements, and deliverables. Facilitate communication and alignment   throughout the project lifecycle
Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues.   Develop risk management strategies and contingency plans to minimize impact   on project delivery and outcomes
Budget and Resource Management: Manage project budgets, resources, and   expenditures in alignment with organizational guidelines and financial   constraints. Monitor resource allocation and utilization to optimize project   efficiency
Technical Oversight: Provide technical oversight and guidance to project   teams. Ensure technical solutions meet project requirements, quality   standards, and design specifications
Stakeholder Communication: Communicate project status, progress, and   milestones to stakeholders and leadership. Facilitate meetings, workshops,   and presentations to gather requirements and provide updates
A Technical Program/Project Manager (TPM) specializes in managing technically   complex projects, bridging the gap between engineering teams and business   goals, and often involves deep technical knowledge to address challenges and   drive technical innovation
What You’ll Bring
Ability to travel 40% of the time
Degree in AV Design, Integration, or related field or equivalent experience
Knowledge of AV Integration including practices and sequence of work
 In-depth knowledge of AV Integration installations, and wiring configurations
 Ability to manage field integration activities and labor
 Basic knowledge of commercial electrical systems and basic networking
 Ability to manage multiple budgets and schedules
