Tesla seeks a Maintenance Technician to ensure the operational efficiency of manufacturing equipment. Apply mechanical, electrical, and automation skills to maintain, repair, and optimize equipment performance.
What You’ll Do
Manage production line equipment: respond to alarms, breakdowns, and requests efficiently
Diagnose and resolve equipment failures, identifying root causes and actions taken
Achieve Journeyman Level on assigned machines, handling preventative maintenance and repairs
Improve PM documents and schedules with Maintenance Supervisor and Leads
Perform major repairs and rebuilds, including occasional weekends and holidays
Utilize manufacturing systems (MES, Spares Inventory, Issue Tracking)
Collaborate with Process and Equipment Engineering to enhance equipment reliability and minimize downtime
What You’ll Bring
Degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Technology preferred, or 3+ years of relevant experience
Proficiency in Allen Bradley PLCs highly desired
Experience with Fanuc or Kuka robots is a plus
Specialization in electrical/electronics, mechanical/machining, or automation/PLC/robotics
Skilled in troubleshooting automation, conveyance, and electromechanical systems
Proficient with hand tools, portable tools, machining, and welding
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics
Physical Demands:
Perform physically demanding work for up to 12 hours a day
Stand, walk, and traverse uneven terrain for extended periods
Lift, push, and carry up to 50 lbs., including up and down stairs
Frequently bend, lift, reach, and perform repetitive tasks
Work in various positions such as stooping, kneeling, and crouching
Climb and maintain balance on ladders or scaffolding
Follow safety protocols, including wearing PPE and adhering to site safety standards
