We deliver world-class planning services and accurate forecast guidance to support seamless customer experience and maximum asset recovery by ensuring products in scope of Amazon Devices Reverse Supply Chain are available at the right time, location and channel.

– Responsible for Amazon devices returns and warranty replacement forecast creation
– Create new product forecast strategy to successfully launch new programs
– Responsible for the product lifecycle forecasting from NPI, Sustaining to EOL
– Own and drive the forecasting metrics, such as forecast accuracy, sales attainment and return rates
– Identify, document opportunities to improve forecasting efficiency and manage the implementation

Reverse Logistics Forecasting Manager

The Role:
As a Reverse Logistics Forecasting Manager, you should be highly motivated, responsive, flexible and able to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment. In this role, you will be able to utilize your technical planning, analytical, and project management skills to deliver solid forecasts, develop planning tools, improve forecast accuracy, and provide insightful analysis to partners.

– Responsible for generating the Amazon devices returns and warranty replacement forecasts and communicate to internal and external partners
– Assist new product forecast strategy with the NPI team to successfully launch new programs in all regions
– Responsible for the product lifecycle forecasting from NPI launch, Sustaining to EOL
– Own and drive the forecasting metrics
– Work with stakeholders to improve the forecast accuracy
– Drive and influence decisions on return rates review
– Identify and document opportunities to improve forecasting efficiency and manage the implementation with BI team
– Support Finance with annual operational planning and forecasting process
– Communicate effectively with internal and external customers in accordance with the company’s policies, procedures, guidelines, and common practices
– Identify the flaws in our processes and come up with action plans to correct them.

A day in the life
This role will be a key interface for all activities related to customer returns, warranty obligation, product return rate from forecasts to delivery including day to day communication with Finance/CM/3P/FC/Product REL/Engineer partners as it relates to Forecast accuracy or questions. Manage the forecast publish schedule, develop, publish forecast and track the forecast accuracy.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or Supply Chain/Operations
• 5-7+ years supply chain and forecasting management
• 5-7+ years’ relevant experience in positions that require actual vs. demand analysis including familiarity with concepts of forecasting, seasonal trend variance, demand by regions and data interpretation analysis, ability to manage large volume of data
• Experience applying various machine learning techniques, and understanding the key parameters that affect their performance
• Experience in designing or implementing forecasting tools
• Experience with statistical analysis, data modeling, regression modeling and forecasting, time series analysis, data mining and demand modeling
• Experience in creating and managing advanced models in Microsoft Excel including the Excel advanced functions (pivots, lookups, macros, and index)
• Supply chain experience in an e-commerce and retail business
• 5+ years’ experience in presenting to Senior Management
• Independent self-starter who can manage multiple priorities in a rapidly • changing environment and take initiative to solve problems
• Strong communication skills in written and verbal
• Proven process improvement skills with a natural curiosity and desire to understand how things work

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Prior Reverse logistics forecasting experience • Experience in Service operations
• Working knowledge of SQL/VBA, Python, ML, Tableau or other Business Intelligence Platform
• APICS certified
• Experience building and maintaining reports in Tableau preferred
• Experience in developing SQL database UI and database management a plus

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $71,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $153,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
