Duties:
Digital Literacy and Analytics: Analyzes merchandise sales data and metrics using appropriate tools, dashboards, and data sources
in order to
extract relevant information.
Develops insights and
take
actions based on pertinent data. Leverages data to inform item decisions and corrective actions. Collects and analyzes industry and competitor data. Adapts strategies to
leverage
industry trends. Provides feedback to cross-functional partners on relevance of industry data sources. Analyzes alternative and emerging data sources. Incorporates emerging data sources into analyses as
appropriate
.
Leverages
data analysis tools to explore complex data sets, develop and test hypotheses, use data to influence strategic work, and build, present, and apply insights to decision-making processes.
Identifies
need for new tools or information sets. Strategic Acumen: Understands customer behavior across channels and within specific channels. Monitors customer feedback, item reviews, and alternate information channels. Interprets customer data, shares findings, and develops plans for improvement with cross-functional partners, peers, and leaders.
Identifies
opportunities to pursue
new items
and categories and improve customer experiences.
Researches
industry and macroeconomic trends and changes in competitor strategies and offerings. Communicates findings and insights to cross-functional partners, peers, and leaders. Weighs pros and cons of channel strategies for items within assortment. Reviews financial implications of item channel availability. Maintains open communications with peers and cross functional partners to understand opportunities to coordinate strategic decisions and simplify ways of working. Financial Management: Understands elements of profit and loss statements. Derives insights and
researches
opportunities to take corrective actions. Supports development of business cases and recommendations to deliver projected returns on investment or cost savings. Conducts hindsight analysis as needed. Reviews in-season reporting and financial results for key seasonal events. Coordinates with cross-functional partners to
determine
financial plans and inventory purchase amounts. Supply Chain and Operations: Addresses efficiency breakdowns related to Supply Chain and Operations. Provides performance feedback and recommendations on process improvements to suppliers. Drives consistent communication
in order to
understand potential breakdowns in supplier
logistics
. Coordinates with Supply Chain partners to understand and
solution
network
capacity
, transportation, and other
logistics
issues. Facilitates interrelationships and information sharing between Merchandising, Supply Chain, and Operations partners.
Take actions to address
shrink and waste through collaboration with partners. Performs root cause analysis on quality issues in partnership with functional partners and develops solutions. Analyzes impacts to profit-and-loss statement of various actions taken to improve Supply Chain and Operations efficiencies. Replenishment Planning: Develops replenishment plans which
leverage
input from Merchant teams, Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, Integrated Planning, and Club Operations.
Determines
root causes of inventory supply issues and implements solutions or process changes to drive operational efficiency. Communicates replenishment issues to relevant stakeholders and provides recommendations for resolutions.
Effectively
actions daily and weekly exception reports critical to
maintaining
replenishment omni channel health and systems hygiene. Supplier Performance: Provides
timely
and effective feedback to suppliers on non-conformance with performance standards and follows up on corrective actions. Executes escalation protocols and procedures to resolve supply issues and improve future supply; Provides Merchants and Supply Chain with necessary information and action plans in response to supply failures.
Minimum education and experience
required
:
Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in Business, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field plus 1 year of experience in inventory management, accounting, or related experience; OR 3 years of experience in inventory management, accounting, or related experience.
Skills required:
Must have experience with: Designing and implementing reporting for the replenishment team to monitor new distribution and facility centers performance using data bricks SQL; Data Collection, preparation, and analysis to support the smooth process of new distribution and facility centers opening; Managing the development and application of advanced analytics to address unique business and technical problems and supporting data-driven decision making; Making strategic recommendations to analytics leadership based on data analysis; Using technical tools like Tableau and
Powerbi
to build visuals that helps leadership make strategic decisions; Monitoring and analyzing multi projects end-to-end for replenishment; Managing risk associated with implementation of new distribution centers opening; Using risk management and effective communication techniques to mitigate possible risks; Utilizing quantitative methodology to develop advanced analytical research and insights to support replenishment systems efficiently; Using tools like data bricks (SQL) to develop these tools; Collaborating with functional leadership and cross-functional teams (e.g., demand, supply planning, item life cycle) to develop consultative solutions for smooth management of different distribution and facility centers opening; Working with replenishment system software like GRS and NOVA to understand the replenishment process and keeping the track of order creation; Understanding the end-to-end business of replenishment system to facilitate new facility openings; Establishing continuous improvement methodology of all the necessary steps for ordering cycle of the replenishment system from beginning to end; Designing and testing relational database systems like SQL in data bricks and Power BI that gives insight for the smooth landing of products in new facilities; Implementing agile methodology using kanban to track new distribution centers projects; Utilizing research, data and analytics to drive actions and decisions; and Telling meaningful stories out of data to bring insight and suggest strategies in optimizing the replenishment system process.
