Software Engineer III
, you will translate requirements into effective solutions, write code, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. You will also lead small project teams, serving as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert, providing guidance and the necessary tools to drive success and innovate beyond the status quo.
About The Team
Our Sam’s Item Engineering team leverages the Syndigo SaaS solution to onboard and manage product data across individual items, packs, cases, and pallets, ensuring seamless supply chain integration. In this role, you will contribute to the NextGen Sam’s item initiative by leveraging the Walmart item ecosystem to develop highly scalable microservices. You will independently address high-impact software and systems monitoring issues and troubleshoot business and production challenges. As a key member of this dynamic and entrepreneurial team, you’ll have the opportunity to work for the world’s largest retailer and play a significant role in driving innovation and developing cutting-edge methodologies that transform business practices and reshape industry standards
What You’ll Do:
Help cross-functional teams to solve for business problems and develop solutions that enable us to redefine a “best-in-class” member experience.
Lead small project teams, serving as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert, providing guidance and the necessary tools to drive success and innovate beyond the status quo
Collaborate with cross-functional teams
Translate requirements into effective solutions
Write Code
Troubleshoot and test  business and production issues
Come up with a high- level design by partnering with the product management, project management, business, and user experience team
What You’ll Bring:
Minimum 2 years of Front-End Software Development Experience
Extensive understanding of microservice architecture and design, and best practices around multithreading, networking, offline storage, and performance tuning
Advanced level knowledge and understanding of
React
,
Angular
,
Node.js
, and experience working with distributed systems and teams.
Experience with refactoring/redesigning/rewriting existing applications is a plus (We are in the process of redesigning and refactoring of our current system)
A disciplined approach to development, code review, testing, documentation, and code structure in a team environment.
A constant desire to improve, learn more and take things to the next level and a passion for adopting the latest features in React
Nice to have, but not required:
Knowledge of technologies used in building scalable, distributed systems in virtualized cloud environments.
Ability to design for fault tolerance and high availability.
Have proficient knowledge and experience with

Demonstrated knowledge of the following programming Languages:

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
