Position Summary…
What you’ll do…
SIEM Orientation:Requires knowledge of:Security operations center processes; Major types of intrusions; Stakeholder segmentation; Cyber Risk Policies and standard operating procedures; Relevant data analytics tools and techniques.To manage the lifecycle of SIEM rules, reports, and dashboards to present actionable threats. Manage SIEM infrastructure by monitoring metrics for efficiency and effectiveness. Educate and partner with internal customer teams (for example, Compliance, Cybersecurity Risk Assessment, Infrastructure) to ensure appropriate threat monitoring. Collaborates with other SIEM engineers on architecture and engineering design.Architecture Acumen:Requires knowledge of:Architectural principles; Systems and environment behavior; Architectural Styles, Patterns and plans; Architectural standards; Non-functional System performance parameters; Technology StrategyTo assist in decomposing the product architecture into multiple components and modules and define architectural specifications for each module; Create/Apply the right architectural pattern across the module as indicated in the architectural plan to obtain the right result; Define the architecture blueprint for the various components within a product/solution; Analyze system performance impacting the complete product for non-functional requirements like reliability, operability, performance efficiency and security.Technology Solution Automation:Requires knowledge of:Automation tools and technologies; Scripting Languages.To analyze data and metrics to identify areas of automation to drive faster response to operational issues. Maintain up-to-date documentation on deployments, processes, and standard operating procedures/runbooks with a goal minimize runbooks by automation.Infrastructure Maintenance:Requires knowledge of:Infrastructure maintenance tools and methodologies; Infrastructure maintenance plans and schedule; Infrastructure performance metrics.To perform routine maintenance tasks for infrastructure systems such as backups, patch management and hot fixes. Escalate any issue that occurs in the backup media. Audit desktops for compliance with IT policies. Conduct regular database integrity checks to ensure minimal data loss.Infrastructure Design:Requires knowledge of:Software architecture; Distributed systems; Scalability; Design patterns; Disaster Recovery; TechStacks; Non-Functional Requirements; Security standards, frameworks, and methodologies (System Security Plan -SSP, Security Risk and Compliance Review- SRCR etc.)To assist in creation of simple, modular, extensible and functional design for the product/solution in adherence to the requirements. Evaluate trade-offs while designing across multiple components in a system based on the business requirements. Convert HLD to create detailed design for specific modules / components of a product/system. Understand nuances of designing for disaster recovery. Undertake infrastructure coding automation.Network Operations:Requires knowledge of:Network Monitoring and Alerting tools; Monitoring Metrics and KPIs (for example Availability, mean time between Failure (MTBF), Mean Time to Recover (MTTR) etc.); Service Level Indicator (SLIs) (for example request latency, availability, error rate etc.)To monitor network performance and highlight areas for further review to optimize network performance. Suggest metrics to monitor network performance effectively. Monitor current performance data to ensure adherence to defined SLOs for multiple network applications/systems. Determine thresholds for the monitoring metrics and trigger alerts based on those thresholds.Code Development and Testing:Requires knowledge of:Coding languages like SQL, Java, C++, Python and others; Testing methods such as static, dynamic, software composition analysis, manual penetration testing and others; Business, domain understanding.To write code to develop the required solution and application features by using the recommended programming language and leveraging business, technical, and data requirements. Test the code using the recommended testing approach.Cloud Services Management:Requires knowledge of:Technical solutions or techniques to resolve cloud integration issues; Database administration and maintenance tools and techniques; Cloud computing platforms, software, and services; Business impacts of cloud deployment, modification, and migration; Organizational requirements and business needs; Trends and technologies in cloud solutions.To assess the performance of cloud solutions based on expected business needs, usage, and traffic. Draft specifications for cloud solutions to address usage, performance, and security requirements. Develop implementation plans for cloud solutions. Develop processes for the review of metrics associated with the implementation of cloud solutions. Resolve escalated issues related to the implementation of cloud solutions.Security Architecture:Requires knowledge of:Secure Software Development, Data protection, Cryptography, Key management, Identity and Access Management; Industry Standard Authentication mechanisms; Cloud security and Governance tools; Audit, compliance standards; Static Code Scanning Tools; High level Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing (VAPT); Legal policies (e.g., SOX, GDPR, GLBA, etc.).To establish security and compliance baseline and understand per-project risks. Educate team on the topics of secure programming and deployment by conducting technical security awareness training. Formally control the software design process and validate utilization of secure components. Support ad hoc reviews of software design to ensure baseline mitigations for known risks.Demonstrates up-to-date expertise and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices; supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs; and building commitment for perspectives and rationales.Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities.Models compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by incorporating these into the development and implementation of business plans; using the Open Door Policy; and demonstrating and assisting others with how to apply these in executing business processes and practices.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
