Join us!Job Description:This job is responsible for leading the commercial credit process within the Enterprise Credit organization for select Business Banking and Middle Market clients and prospects. Key responsibilitiesinclude collaborating directlywith the ClientManagement teams and internal partners to drive an efficient credit delivery experience. Job expectations includeobtaining lendingauthority toutilize through theunderwriting and approval process.The Lending Officer acts as the point of contact for driving credit solutions for the client. The Lending Officer maintains relationships with the client management team and works directly with clients from deal structuring through final credit approval, legal document negotiations and closing as necessary. The Lending Officer is responsible for negotiation with the client on credit terms, performing full underwriting analysis and preparing deal justification. The Lending Officer will have single signature approval authority (per the Approval Grid) for credit and monitoring actions as needed. The Lending Officer ensures data quality of credit-related client and deal information.Position can be filled as a Lending Officer I or IIResponsibilities:Collaborates with Client Management teams to perform analysis of credit opportunities and prospects at the bankManages client and prospect originations including initial credit structuring, underwriting, legal documentation review, and deal closingDelivers on data accuracy and quality of underwriting metrics in compliance with internal policies and proceduresMonitors assigned portfolios of client loan maturities and collaborates with Analysts to continuously recognize and address risks in a timely mannerEscalates and debates deteriorating assets in partnership with the Special Assets Group and Risk as appropriateParticipates in Regional and Market meetings to communicate credit delivery best practices and resultsRequired Skills:2 + years Commercial credit experienceClient-facing experience-ability to consult & navigate client requestsStrong analytical skills and attention to detailEffective communicator in both written and oral presentationsAbility to effectively partner with peers and other business units across the enterpriseDemonstrate sense of urgency with decision making and executionSelf-starter and ability to work independentlyMust have proficiency with Microsoft office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word etc.)Desired Skills:BA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics majors preferredPrior commercial loan underwriting experienceSkills:Loan StructuringUnderwritingCollaborationDecision MakingWritten CommunicationsInterpret Relevant Laws, Rules, and RegulationsCredit Documentation RequirementsActive ListeningAnalytical ThinkingAttention to DetailIssue ManagementRisk ManagementNegotiationOral CommunicationsPrioritizationMinimum Education Requirement:High School Diploma / GED / Secondary School or equivalentShift:1st shift (United States of America)Hours Per Week:40
