The Senior Manager – Emerging Technology Governance, Digital Citizenship will help shape Walmart’s ethical use of data and responsible use of technology as we work at transforming ourselves and the retail experience for our Customers and Associates.
We are looking for a bright and ambitious candidate to join the Walmart Emerging Technology Governance Team. The Senior Manager – Emerging Technology Governance, Digital Citizenship is a critical role that works with key stakeholders and subject matter experts to help shape the company’s policies, procedures, and controls regarding the responsible use of emerging technology. Reporting to the Senior Director of Emerging Technology Governance.
What you’ll bring…

You have a background in compliance, business, law, policy development and/or project management.
You have a background or demonstrated interest in emerging technology, artificial intelligence, and responsible use of technology.
You have a great eye for detail and can draft simple, clear, and concise policies and presentations
You are comfortable communicating with senior and executive leadership
You’re organized, disciplined, and can manage multiple projects simultaneously
You’re a master at making complex subjects easily understood through text and visuals
You “get things done”, have a “can do” attitude and enjoy working within a team environment.
What you’ll do…
Policy Drafting: The candidate will be responsible for drafting clear and comprehensive policies that align with our business objectives and regulatory requirements.
Regulatory Review: The successful candidate will continuously review and stay updated on regulatory requirements to ensure our technology initiatives are compliant and well-documented.
Model Reviews: The Senior Manager will conduct regular model reviews to maintain the integrity and effectiveness of our AI models.
Controls and Monitoring: The candidate will assist in building robust controls and monitoring systems to drive continuous improvement and ensure adherence to our policies and regulatory standards.
Project Management: The successful candidate will serve as a project manager, assisting with various projects and ensuring their timely and successful completion.
Strategic Initiatives: The Senior Manager will be responsible for driving strategic initiatives, aligning them with our overall business goals and objectives.
AI Ethics Champion: As part of our commitment to the ethical use of AI, the successful candidate will promote and uphold our principles for responsible and ethical AI use.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications…

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field and 4 years’ experience in compliance, ethics, legal, project management, or related area OR 6 years’ experience in compliance, ethics, legal, project management, or related area. 2 years’ supervisory experience. 3 years’ experience using intermediate functionality of Microsoft Office.
