What you’ll do…
Position Overview:
The Senior Manager of Safety – Supply Chain Support be responsible for overseeing different safety related projects that are being deployed to Supply Chain. This position will be focused on addressing top risk items identified through proactive assessments, ensuring compliance and safety reviews are conducted for new processes, equipment installs, and design implementations.
Essential Functions

Conduct regular facility inspections and audits to identify and mitigate workplace hazards, ensuring a safe and compliant work environment.
Facilitate the successful implementation of safety projects across Supply Chain, ensuring seamless integration and effective risk management.
Collaborate with site leadership and Asset Protection teams to address high-risk incidents, implementing solutions and strategies to prevent future occurrences.
Coordinate with cross-functional departments to deploy new programs, equipment, and process changes, ensuring effective communication and associate training.
Partner with vendors to source and deploy cutting-edge safety technologies, enhancing the safety of our associates and customers.
Develop and deliver engaging safety training programs, fostering a culture of safety excellence and Walmart policy compliance among associates.
Attend scheduled Network safety incident calls to provide support and expertise in resolving safety incidents within your assigned area.
Stay current on the latest safety standards and regulations, ensuring Walmart’s safety policies and procedures are always up-to-date and compliant.
Support facility remodels, launches, and automation deployments by conducting comprehensive safety inspections, ensuring a safe and successful transition.
Evaluate new personal protective equipment and other devices to ensure effective risk mitigation and associate safety.
Collaborate with cross-functional departments to deliver impactful safety training and awareness programs, covering new hire orientation, refresher training, and specialized training for high-risk tasks.

Planning and Improvement: Plan and Pursue Team-Based: Improvement Coordinates and aligns planning with organizational initiatives and direction. Looks at work plans and makes changes, as needed, to achieve team or work group objectives. Sets realistic timelines for goal accomplishment.

Builds trusting, cooperative relationships and alliances with others, inside and outside of the organization. Auditing and Assessments: The senior manager should be well-versed in auditing and assessment procedures, able to conduct thorough assessments of site operations and identify areas for improvement. They should be able to develop and implement corrective action plans to address any deficiencies identified during audits.
Results-Oriented: The senior manager should be focused on achieving results, setting clear goals and expectations for themselves and their teams. They should be able to measure performance, identify areas for improvement, and take corrective action as needed to ensure that all projects and assessments are completed successfully.

Entry Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
4 years’ experience in Retail, Supply Chain, or Manufacturing environment.
Option 1: Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety Management, Audit, or related field;, AND 4 years’ experience in the field of Audit, Investigations, or Environmental, Health and Safety within Supply Chain, Retail, Manufacturing, or related field.
Option 2: 6 years’ experience in the field of Audit, Investigations, Safety or Environmental, Health and Safety within Supply Chain, Retail, Manufacturing, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications
2 years’ experience in Microsoft Office Suite; SharePoint and OneDrive.
1 or More Certifications such as Associate Safety Professional; Certified Safety Professional; or Non-degreed certifications Certified Safety Manager; or related

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
