Duties:
Develop, implement, and handle strategies that involve elements of fraud payments and risk mitigation, underwriting collections and pricing for cash advance programs, and enhancing payment experiences around various products and services for marketplace sellers. Serve as an internal consultant for key business leaders in vetting strategic ideas by providing analytical, problem solving, and strategic frameworks. Identify key metrics and develop data driven risk strategies and analytical frameworks. Build and maintain business rules to support Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) around payments. Stay current on industry trends and best practices, assess and independently leverage market research and analysis, and communicate the potential impact to business KPIs to stakeholders. Provide strategic and analytic support to partner operations and product teams for automations and optimizations. Develop solutions to improve internal payment workflows and tooling. Design A/B tests to help understand risk return tradeoffs using hypothesis testing frameworks. Collaborate cross functionally with multiple stakeholders including trust and safety, product engineering, data science, finance, legal, and other partner performance teams to support payments infrastructure and roadmaps.
This position does not supervise employees.
Minimum education and experience required:
Master’s degree or the equivalent in Business Analytics, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, or related field;
OR
Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in Business Analytics, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, or related field and 2 years of experience in data analytics or related field.
Skills required:
Experience with data mining using MySQL. Experience with predictive analytics using Python. Experience with relational database management systems: Teradata and SQL. Experience with data driven decision making using advanced Microsoft (MS) Excel features. Experience creating data visualizations using Tableau. Experience with data forecasting using regression techniques. Experience with strategy performance monitoring using live data on dashboards. Experience with risk and fraud management.
Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.
Salary Range:
$112,655/year to $202,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.  Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
