What you’ll do…
As a
Software Engineer III
within Walmart’s Global Tech Services and Solutions (GTSS) team, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and implementing software solutions that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of Walmart’s enterprise technology services. Your work will directly impact the experience of Walmart associates worldwide, driving innovation in collaboration tools, automation, and support services. This position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies, contribute to strategic initiatives, and deliver scalable solutions that align with Walmart’s global needs.

Global Tech Services and Solutions (GTSS)
Our team is focused on developing a streamlined, dependable company that includes service operations and technology solutions for Finance, People, and Associate Digital Experience (ADE). We also provide a variety of services such as procurement, supplier portfolio management, merchandising master data, and analytics. From developing HR chatbots and virtual assistants to creating invoice solutions and facilitating legal changes, we help drive efficiency across Walmart globally. The overarching goal is to enhance the technology and services framework of the organization to foster seamless collaboration and improve user experience. This involves adopting advanced, consistent technologies in meeting rooms, integrating cloud-based platforms with superior audio and video equipment, and ensuring global standardization of these technologies. Provide services assurance by investing in operational mastery, partnering with product teams to help eliminate and automate in-person experiences.
What you’ll do:
Design and Develop Solutions
: Build and maintain software solutions that support GTSS initiatives, including tools for automation, self-service portals like MyTech, and integration of collaboration technologies.
Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams
: Work closely with Product Managers, Data Analysts, and Technical Support teams to gather requirements, understand business needs, and deliver solutions that improve service delivery.
Enhance and Optimize Processes
: Create software solutions that streamline operational processes, automate routine tasks, and improve the user experience for associates.
Implement and Support Integration
: Develop integrations between internal systems and third-party tools, ensuring seamless functionality for collaboration technologies, video conferencing, and virtual support.
Maintain Code Quality and Standards
: Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code. Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes.
Troubleshoot and Resolve Issues
: Analyze and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring high system reliability and quick turnaround times to maintain service levels.
What you’ll bring:
Strong Technical Skills
: Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript, along with experience in cloud services (GCP, or Azure). Familiarity with microservices architecture, API development, and database technologies like SQL and NoSQL.
Problem-Solving Mindset
: Ability to analyze complex problems, identify root causes, and design innovative solutions that align with business objectives.
Collaboration and Communication
: Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
Experience in Automation and Integration
: Proven track record of automating processes and integrating systems to improve efficiency and user experience.
Adaptability and Continuous Learning
: Willingness to stay current with emerging technologies and trends, continuously improving technical skills and applying new knowledge to enhance Walmart’s enterprise tech solutions.

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam’s Club facilities. The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
