Join us!This job is responsible for analyzing and interpreting a client’s credit worthiness, evaluating credit risks, sources of prepayment and writing credit approval memos for annual renewals and recommending new lending opportunities for the Global Corporate and Investment Bank. Key responsibilities include analyzing qualitative and quantitative data such as client’s financials, assigning risk ratings, projections, industry data, and covenant compliance to ensure compliance with the bank’s risk appetite. Job expectations include completing regular monitoring and underwriting tasks and supporting key internal stakeholders to achieve successful execution of new transactionsResponsibilities:Analyzes client’s financial performance by comparing it to past performance, projections, and industry standardsReviews financial statements, assesses the client’s compliance with financial covenants, and renews risk ratings, while recommending changes as warrantedAssists in the underwriting, credit risk analysis, negotiation, and closing of new transactions or existing transactions, while adhering to all relevant policies and proceduresEvaluates transaction and relationship risk-adjusted profitability to facilitate the allocation of capitalBuilds projection models for the client (as needed) based on historical performance, industry forecasts, and other due diligence findingsTo provide analytical and other support for credit officers, and confidently interact with origination (Corporate Banking, Investment Banking, Global Markets, Global Transaction Services, etc.), risk and other support functions to support balanced portfolio growthTo analyze customer financial strength, business strategy, market factors, and regulatory environment to prepare credit memos and support management of a portfolio of large corporate relationships focused in the Consumer & Retail and Food & Beverage industry verticalsTo develop familiarity with various legal documents – trading documentation (ISDAs & CSAs), syndicated loan agreement, security agreements, compliance certificates, guarantees, letters of credit, etc.To maintain close working dialogue with business partners and analyze opportunities / risks thoroughly, and to provide the most appropriate financial solutions to clients and the bankTo develop product knowledge – a wide range of credit products including loans, derivatives, trade finance, cash management and treasury productsRequired Qualifications:Basic knowledge in capital market transactions as well as banking productsBasic knowledge of corporate debt ratings preferredHigh integrity and personal standards of quality and willingness to take responsibility for accurate and timely completion of deliverablesPro-active and positive nature, well organized, problem solving skills and results oriented approachDesired Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or related disciplinesMinimum of 1 year of credit underwriting experience, preferably in a bank or large financial institutionSkills:Analytical ThinkingFinancial AnalysisFinancial Forecasting and ModelingProfitability AnalysisResearch AnalysisAttention to DetailBusiness AcumenCredit and Risk AssessmentUnderwritingWritten CommunicationsCollaborationCritical ThinkingPortfolio AnalysisPrioritizationTechnical DocumentationShift:1st shift (United States of America)Hours Per Week:40
