We are seeking an analytical and entrepreneurial Growth Strategy Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for working closely with teams across AWS Global Services to develop, prioritize, pilot and scale a range of initiatives that help Global Services teams delight customers, drive revenue growth and improve business performance. You will look across the current business and emerging opportunities arising as a result of new trends in the cloud services industry, and work closely with stakeholders to understand if, when and how to launch new initiatives that have a tangible impact on the AWS Global Services business.

Key job responsibilities
– Develop a detailed understanding of AWS Global Services strategic objectives, offerings, industry landscape and operating model, working to identify opportunities for new services and revenue expansion.
– Analyze external and internal data sources for insights into emerging trends, business models, commercial practices and business performance in IT support and services industries and adjacent spaces.
– Develop white papers, quantitative models, business cases and recommendation memorandums, detailing potential opportunities for new offerings, revenue growth, and improved business performance.
– Work closely with teams across AWS Global Services lines of business and the AWS Marketing & Sales organization to prioritize, develop, pilot and scale new initiatives that can advance AWS Global Services strategic objectives and revenue expansion.
– Own and drive long-term, cross-functional initiatives with a tangible impact on AWS customers and AWS Global Services business performance.
– Stay up-to-date on emerging trends, offerings, business models and players in the cloud services space, including partnerships, new commercial and business practices, and new technologies affecting the IT support and services space.

About Sales, Marketing and Global Services (SMGS)

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

– 5+ years of experience in management consulting, product management, or strategy & operations in B2B SaaS companies.
– Ability to use first-principles thinking and data from disparate sources to tackle complex problems and draw actionable conclusions.
– Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, be resourceful, and work with high autonomy in dynamic and fast-moving environments.
– Demonstrated ability to own and drive initiatives that require collaboration and partnership across a range of functions, including Operations, Finance, Sales and Product.
– Track record of complex problem-solving and owning and delivering major initiatives.
– Excellent project management skills and exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

– Experience designing and leading major transformation and change management initiatives in large organizations.
– Direct experience in the IT support/ services industry
– Direct experience in B2B SaaS sales, marketing or product organizations.
– Developing or implementing build/buy/ partner frameworks and analyses in the SaaS space.
– Experience designing and owning game-changing, 0-to-1 initiatives in large organizations.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
