At Apple’s Camera Algorithm team we are looking for extraordinary algorithm engineers to work on the image capture and processing/rendering algorithms that serve all Apple product cameras! As part of the team, you will work on core camera/ISP/Machine learning technologies based on Apple crafted image signal processing pipeline and HW components, such as the Apple Neural Engine. Here you will have the chance to define the way the Apple camera captures, processes, and renders outstanding still image and video quality. Our close-knit team champions an environment of product innovation, rapid product iteration, and collaboration, at both team and multi-functional levels, granting you a liberating amount of autonomy. We work closely with various teams, like the Silicon Design, Camera HW/SW, and QA. Our team environment is dynamic, fast-paced and requires a self-starter attitude.
In this algorithm engineer role, you will be actively involved in supporting and delivering various products, encompassing tasks such as camera color characterization, programming and validation of ISP blocks, diagnosing color-related issues, and fine parameter tuning. Additionally, you will be tasked with developing new algorithms to solve the existing challenges or to propose innovative applications for future products. You’ll partner with various camera technology teams to streamline algorithm deployment, such as accelerating algorithms in silicon with SOC architecture team, improving new camera components with HW team, devising new measurement methodologies with factory team, or prototyping your work with camera simulation team. The perfect candidate is hard-working, adept at problem-solving, and quick to grasp new concepts. You are comfortable working in a dynamic multi-functional environment, quick to establish relationships and collaborated with many dedicated engineers to build high-quality features in Apple products.
