As an EMC Design Engineer, you will work closely with cross-functional engineers to design and validate solutions that guarantee high quality EMC performance of Apple products. You will tackle mechanical, electrical, and software challenges affecting EMC performance and deliver innovative solutions.
Responsibilities:
– Review mechanical designs of enclosures, connectors, and cables for EMC compliance
– Review printed circuit board (PCB) schematics and layouts for emissions and immunity control
– Partner with vendors on defining component specifications and validation procedures to meet EMC requirements at the system level
– Prepare comprehensive test plans, supervise validation, and compile reports
– Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical sources of EMC failures and identify solutions that are agreeable to cross-functional partners
– Define validation requirements and train test engineers on data collection at factories and Apple labs
– Review and analyze data from multiple designs, present findings to peers, partners and management and recommend design changes
