Apple Newsroom breaks news of Apple products and initiatives, and is the official word from Apple. The Apple Newsroom team creates editorial stories and short form, social video in collaboration with Communications teams across the globe.
As an Associate Creative Director on Apple Newsroom’s Design Team, you will work with the Creative Director to create elegant design solutions for everything published on Apple Newsroom’s web and social channels, from press releases to photo essays to long-form editorial articles to video and photos.
You will commission and provide creative direction for original photography and illustrations from contributors around the globe and work directly with teams across the organization to generate and gather assets for publish on Newsroom platforms.
Responsibilities include:
Creating original designs that align to project goals and overall creative direction, fluid templates and Apple standards.
Collaborating with the Creative Director, Designers, and the larger project team to explore concepts and iterate on design layouts and short form video treatments. Anticipating and solving for potential design challenges, as well as maintaining existing creative solutions.
Guiding ideas to meet both creative and business goals within the project scope.
Presenting persuasively and clearly articulating design rationale for project creative solutions.
Collaborating with technical disciplines to ensure designs work within given limitations, and files are prepared with all vital information to support the design intent.
Reviewing final deliverables with an exacting eye, ensuring that layout, images, and typography are flawless.
