The Display team is looking for a talented Electrical Engineer to lead the development and validation across a variety of Apple products. As a Display Electrical Engineer, you will drive display module electrical design from concept phase, all the way through engineering builds, and into volume manufacturing. All duties will be performed in a multi-functional environment where you will need to collaborate effectively with all the other key teams, such as Optical, Mechanical, Silicon, System, Software, Product Design, as well as external vendors. Your role will encompass a diverse array of responsibilities:
– Determine component level requirements, develop schematic designs, and closely manage layout of highly constrained multilayer PCB to achieve functional & performance objectives
– Support new display technology scoping and development
– Create and execute plans to bring-up & validate designs for function and performance, with advanced lab equipment and automation
– Analyze & feedback on mechanical and thermal and integration constraints impacting EE design
– Manage & support module vendors & contract manufacturers, such as design implementation, bring-up, data review
– Perform failure analysis on problems found in integration & manufacturing, feedback root cause and corrective action into design or process in preparation for high-volume
– Communicate and present technology & status updates to management & cross-functional teams
– Author clear and comprehensive documentation for design and manufacturing partners to complete design, test, and validation
BS and a minimum of 3 years relevant industry experienceCircuit knowledge at IC or PCB level, (Power or Analog or Mixed-signal)Experienced in IC or PCB layoutHands-on experience in implementing designs from scratch and circuit simulationProficient with lab equipment and test automation.
