The Software Updates Quality Engineering team within Apple’s Core OS organization is looking for a results-oriented leader with strong technical and interpersonal skills to lead a team of quality engineers for OS updates validation that impact over billion devices in field. The person in this role will work closely with Engineering, other QA and cross-functional managers on delivering the highest quality experience for all Apple products!

The nature of the position requires the candidate to have excellent communication skills, strong technical and debugging skills, along with a drive to make a difference. You will be working in a fast paced environment, interacting directly with software development team and other QA teams cross functionally. As a member of our dynamic group, you will have the unique opportunity to be part of validating our OS install, restore, update, recovery and associated components. You will be responsible for ensuring features and performance are maintained at the highest standard.

Core Responsibilities Include:
Manage a small team of Development Engineers in Test
Develop, modify, automate complete test strategies, plans, and programs
Coordinate and optimize testing in a multi-functional environment co-ordinating with multiple locations
Drive quality initiatives for areas of responsibility
Actively participate in testing the work you’re doing

5+ years of professional experience as a Software Engineer in Test or Software Quality Engineer.3+ years as a Software Quality Engineering Manager.Deep understanding of SQA methodologies, processes, tools and CI/CD pipelines.Proficiency in Python or other scripting language.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.BS in Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent.
