As a Platform Privacy Engineer, you’ll primarily work on our backend systems to improve transparency and trust for our app developers. You will also have the opportunity to work on user facing features that requires collaboration cross functionally across the company. You’ll tackle novel problems often, and be responsible for multiple projects up and down the stack. You’ll also frequently research, experiment, and test your way to new solutions.

Successful candidates are passionate about privacy (with or without prior experience in privacy), can work through challenging problems independently, and enjoy context switching between projects. Successful candidates also have experience in successfully building and running multiple production facing services. The ability to learn and grow quickly is very valued in this position. You will be touching new systems frequently, pitching new ideas, and actively working on the future of privacy at Apple.

5+ years practical background in software engineering including building, maintaining, and debugging scalable and high throughput cloud/container based services.Working experience in building and maintaining applications in cloud (i.e. Docker, Kubernetes).Understanding of binary linkers, toolchains, and symbols data.Ability to write maintainable, testable and observable code in Python, Go, Java, or other C-based language.
