Apple’s Hardware Reliability Engineering team is looking for you to work with our diverse hardware development groups to ensure and improve the durability and reliability of our products. You will partner with multiple engineering teams from beginning (concept) to the end (field returns) of the product lifecycle, while exploring new technologies and understanding how customers will use our products.

As an Apple Hardware Reliability Engineer, you will be involved during the full product development phase on new hardware programs. You will develop and implement creative reliability tests, support failure analysis and advise the team on the best path forward.

YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
– Developing new reliability tests procedures and specifications

– Preparing concise and detailed test plans, analyzing test reports

– Presenting test methodologies, results, and risk assessments in a confident, focused, and positive manner

– Researching new technologies to understand unique failure mechanisms

– Guiding design and interacting with diverse groups to improve product reliability

– Statistical analysis to provide design risk assessments with applications such as Weibull++, JMP, and Tableau

– Being a vocal proponent for reliability (internally and externally) in every phase of the development process

Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or closely related Engineering field.3+ years of experience in a related field or industry
