Be at the center of the action on new silicon product development for Apple’s groundbreaking SoCs! Apple seeks a Silicon Readiness Engineering Program Manager (EPM) within the Hardware Technologies organization to join an experienced program management team. You will help lead and drive programs involving the pre-silicon software readiness and bring-up of pioneering technology used in next generation Apple products. Not only will you help bring our groundbreaking processors to market, but you will also influence future designs from lessons learned. This position will collaborate with multi-functional teams to validate new silicon and software crafted specifically for new Apple product development.
In this high profile Silicon Readiness EPM role you will be responsible for the following:
– Leading a multi-functional team responsible for ensuring critical software and firmware is ready to support the bringup of new Apple SOC’s.
– Driving technical issue resolution to enable on-time silicon to meet consistently aggressive product schedules.
– Focus teams on meeting near term tactical work and unblocking technical issues by pulling together the right multi-functional technical expert(s) to resolve issues with data based decision-making.
– In parallel, ability to focus the multi-functional teams on the big-picture, looking strategically across the SOC roadmap to propose and drive high-ROI pre-silicon goals with the team.
– Drive and develop internal program processes to guarantee high quality silicon execution.
– Interface and drive pre-silicon issues across multi-functional teams: Design, Verification, Validation, Technology, System Hardware and Software.
– Drive technical sessions with multi-functional teams to track & follow up issues/escalations.
– Focused issue reporting, bug tracking, and communication of program risks & status.
BS in Engineering discipline and 3+ years of relevant experience.Post Silicon Validation, emulation/simulation or Software/Firmware Engineering experience.Technical program management or vendor management experience.
