Apple is where individual imaginations gather together, committing to the values that lead to great work. Every new product we build, service we create, or Apple Store experience we deliver is the result of us making each other’s ideas stronger. That happens because every one of us shares a belief that we can make something wonderful and share it with the world, changing lives for the better. It’s the diversity of our people and their thinking that inspires the innovation that runs through everything we do. When we bring everybody in, we can do the best work of our lives. Here, you’ll do more than join something — you’ll add something.
The PPO team is searching for a Senior FEA (Finite Element Analysis) Engineer to lead structural, thermal and dynamic analysis of touch sensor, flat panel display and their integration processes. Our team supports an outstanding line of products
This FEA engineer will own and drive analysis of groundbreaking designs, enabling early material, process and structural design optimization as well as root cause and failure analysis of challenging mechanical problems.
– Generate FEA/analytical models of mechanical parts, modules, and assemblies.
– Perform static, dynamic, structural, and thermal-mechanical analysis.
– Own and drive material characterization and testing plan to support modeling efforts, working knowledge with adhesive material, ACF material, flat panel display material is preferred.
– Own, drive, and execute consistent methods of modeling and analysis of modules across programs.
– Coordinate and work with other analysts to integrate module models into larger system assemblies.
– Communicate and report analysis results to team as well as multi-functional peers and management on a regular basis.
– Drive failure analysis, root cause efforts, and design of experiments to resolve difficult problems.
– Brainstorm and propose solutions to problems based on analysis data.
– Generate applicable engineering specifications and build applicable processes to assure consistent early analysis and design validation of critical issues.
