The Core Telemetry Platform team is looking for an experienced software developer to join its team. This team builds and ships software systems on all Apple operating systems, which helps drive triage, data analytics and developer tools. You will have the opportunity to work across the stack, building our next generation platform to meet the increased demand and challenges to solve power and performance problems. You will have the opportunity to work on the latest Apple products spanning iOS, watchOS, macOS, tvOs, visionOS and build high quality, production software that would ship to billions of Apple customers!
We’re looking for a motivated engineer with excellent programming, problem solving and communication skills. In this role, you will be working on design and development of systems software to help improve battery usage and performance of Apple products. This includes building infrastructure/platform for data collection, storage, querying to model energy usage, performance and server impact of different apps and software services. You would also be developing real-time analysis mechanisms to detect/mitigate issues and using analytics to understand large scale trends. To be successful in this role, you must have a solid foundation in software desigrchitecture coupled with good systems software understanding and excellent debug/triage skills.
B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalentProficiency in object-oriented programming in a systems language (e.g. C++, Objective-C, Swift, C)Great foundation in software design and architectureProficient system level understanding
