The Brand Excellence team is looking for an experienced Business Analyst who will partner with business leaders in benchmarking seller performance across our core customer experience metrics. In addition to driving business insights from your deep understanding of seller customer experience performance data, you will equip the team with the data, automated reports, and dashboards they need. The ideal candidate thrives in an ambiguous environment where they must develop, implement, and iterate on business strategies to deliver a positive experience for Selling Partners while ensuring that our customer experience standards are being met. This person has relentlessly high standards and operates as a business owner who understands key levers to achieve results. They have a passion for innovating and solving complex problems, often with little direction, and driving organizational impact through influential leadership.

Key job responsibilities
– Identify data sources and correlate key business metrics for internal and seller facing performance framework and measurement needs.
– Own the design, development, automation and maintenance of core metrics, reports, analyses, and dashboards that help stakeholders reach data driven conclusions and influences product roadmaps.
– Contribute to team Standard Operating Procedures and best practices to triage work flow.
– Update existing and create new metrics and reporting that help drive business conclusions, continually improving reporting and analysis processes.
– Use active listening skills intuitively to communicate data (both written and verbal) in a clear, concise, and unambiguous manner to stakeholders.

A day in the life
This role will partner closely with internal program, product, and peer data team members to benchmark seller performance across key customer experience metrics like pricing, selection, and delivery speed. The analyst will use their deep understanding of seller data to uncover insights, develop automated reports and dashboards, leveraging their advanced SQL skills daily. Working in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment, the analyst will innovate and problem-solve with little direction, driving organizational impact through influential leadership. This is a high-visibility role that will significantly improve the shopping experience for Amazon customers.

About the team
The Brand Excellence team strives to offer Amazon customers the best possible shopping experience with the top brands offered for sale in the Amazon Store. The team manages an Amazon policy that holds high standards for customer experience across Amazon’s core inputs of pricing, selection, and delivery speed. The team’s programmatic work spans the consumer business, working with counterparts in the Retail and the 3P businesses. The team owns and interprets the policy, leads the direction for how we can best preserve the customer shopping experience on strategic brands, and owns both programs and tech tools/systems to achieve our objectives.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

– 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
– 5+ years of Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau experience
– 3+ years of business or financial analysis experience
– Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
– Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
– Experience with Excel
– Experience with SQL
– Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

– 3+ years of business analyst, data analyst or similar role experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $143,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
