The Human Engineering team is currently looking for an RF Research Scientist to apply their technical expertise in RF technology to user research to the design and development of Apple’s wireless products. This role will support all phases of product development in the context of wireless connectivity during everyday use. They will work closely with cross-functional teams including Human Factors, Antenna Design, RF Design, Software, QA, and more.

Collaborate with internal and cross-functional partners in defining critical research questions to inform RF/wireless product development
Identify and understand users characteristics, environments and use cases related to RF/wireless connectivity that can impact target performance metrics
Design and execute user studies to quantify end-to-end RF/wireless system performance and root cause potential shortcomings
Process, analyze and visualize data to formulate insights and inform product decision/trade-offs
Communicate results and insights to cross functional stakeholders
3+ years of experience post Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or related major) with experience working with RF and wireless connectivity technologies (e.g. Bluetooth, WiFi, and UWB), preferably for consumer productsExperience with large-scale data processing and visualization using Python, R, or a similar languageSkilled in creating and managing research plans with a focus on delivering successful research outcomesExperienced in working with cross-functional teams and using strong organizational and communication skills to solve technical problemsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities
