As a privacy legal lead working closely with teams on Apple’s payments and financial services features, you will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic group on critical issues impacting Apple’s business and products. You will work directly with business and engineering teams in close collaboration with others in legal and compliance to design innovative frameworks and solutions for products.

You will be responsible for providing privacy legal, governance, and compliance guidance for Apple’s Wallet and payments products and services. You will also work closely with colleagues to respond to regulator and customer inquiries and other external-facing communications relating to privacy and data governance. This role will report through the Privacy Legal team’s product counseling group.

Key Responsibilities:
– Supporting and monitoring a privacy program to ensure that technology and business processes meet applicable legal requirements
– Coordinating internal and external inquiries, compliance reviews and monitoring activities
– Advising on general privacy and data protection/security laws, regulations, requirements and industry best practices
– Identifying and communicating potential risks areas with leadership
– Staying informed of and properly communicating any changes to or developments in privacy and data protection laws, regulations, standards, and guidance

4+ years experience in privacy and/or data governance and complianceKnowledge of privacy and data protection laws and regulations, experience in driving regulatory work including regulatory responsesExperience conducting ongoing compliance monitoring activities in coordination with other compliance and operational assessment functionsFluency in security frameworks, including ISO, NIST, and knowledge of financial-related data security requirements such as NYDFS Cybersecurity Regulations and PCI DSSJD or equivalent and admission to at least one US state bar
