DESCRIPTION
Amazon Transportation Services is looking for a Senior Supply Chain Manager with a strong delivery record and proven project management experience to own strategic, tactical, cross-functional operational and technology projects and programs within the Transit Time Authority (TTA) team servicing Europe, Asia, and North & South America. This leader will be expected to contribute significantly to overall transportation and transit time strategy in Amazon’s global footprint. This role will focus on scoping and strategizing project plans for complex middle mile transportation network initiatives; developing coordinating and driving process execution, and communicating to senior management on status, risks and process/product changes. Cross-team coordination, project management and executive presentation skills are essential.
This position can be based in Seattle, Nashville, Atlanta
Key job responsibilities
– Manage full lifecycle of complex cross-functional programs with considerable impact across multiple organizations, countries, and regions
– Development of the overall program strategy, tactically driving teams in and outside of your organization to deliver results
– Define the program (mission, vision, tenets), set objectives, analyze data and drive improvements that are quantified with metrics
– Partner with teams across the business you support and beyond to source, allocate, and coordinate resources
– Partners with customers, internal/external teams, and engineering teams to determine what projects move forward and in what priority order
– Oversee gaps between teams, processes and systems, helping teams reduce exposure to classic failure modes (e.g., requirements not sufficiently understood or documented, ineffective cross-team collaboration, long-term impact(s) from third-party solutions, security not considered, insufficient stakeholder review, etc.)
– Solve ambiguous problems and proactively identify and mitigate risks (before they become roadblocks)
– Work with program managers, business leaders and executive teams in various regions to communicate and impact critical business initiatives
– Develop, implement, and govern Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reporting for a portfolio of programs, providing visibility to the milestones, and performance across all projects
– Engage other Amazon business units globally to share best practices and improve end to end outcomes for Amazon customers
– Create, communicate, and manage budget for projects

Transit Time Authority is an internal service at Amazon that seeks to be the authority for middle mile transit times and distances across any country, any mode, any route, anywhere to anywhere as this data serves as crucial inputs to price, plan, configure, execute, and simulate the transportation network. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– Bachelor’s degree
– 5+ years of program or project management experience
– Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
– Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
– Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)
– Knowledge of SQL at an intermediate level, including: compile queries, subqueries, aggregation/grouping, data modification, etc.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
– Master’s degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $103,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $181,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
