As the Sr. Creative Director for Prime Video Sports Marketing, you will be responsible for delivering best-in-class, breakthrough creative for our live sports offerings. This role is focused on our marketing communications efforts to drive viewership and will partner with live production creative & brand creative to develop a cohesive sports experience for our customers. As a key leader within our quickly-growing, fast-paced business, you will need to be an owner of your work and thrive in a frequently ambiguous environment. Sports by nature is an ever-evolving and unpredictable business, and to be successful in this role a candidate must be able to be nimble and responsive when opportunities or challenges arise. We are looking for a creative visionary who can roll up their sleeves. The ideal candidate can make the most from partnerships with external agencies and directly create in-house, where no job is too small for great creative thought. Strong cross functional skills are important, working closely with live production on-air graphics team and other internal Amazon creative teams to deliver our world class sports offering.

Key job responsibilities
• Lead the creative development of robust marketing campaigns in promotion of tentpole live sports properties.
• Articulation of creative vision for each of our initiatives that guide and inspire both internal and external teams in execution of work that delivers on strategic messaging goals.
• Deliver exceptional creative thinking and solutions that give definition to our nascent sports brand and propel us forward.
• Develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders across all parts of the business and earn trust through consistent, highly-effective work.
• Execute a full range of creative assets for various internal clients (Leadership, PR, B2B, core team) as needed to support the sports business or sports marketing team.
• Build and lead a team of world class creatives pioneering our live sports ambitions

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

– • Bachelor’s degree
– • 10+ years in experience developing Marketing creative across all channels (static, AV, digital) with emphasis in Sports
– • Strong personal interest and passion for sports & entertainment, demonstrating a clear understanding and appreciation for the unique demands of the industry.
– • An idea-generating machine, with a proven track record of exceptional creative work demonstrated by a killer body of work across a full-range of media types.
– • Killer design eye – Ability to articulate, conceive and creatively evaluating and shaping design elements within creative and as needed be hands-on as needed.
– • Superior strategic thinking and leadership skills with a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects through completion
– • Exceptional writing skills. Clear and inspiring creative briefs? Of course. We need a clever script? You got it. A pithy tagline? Here are ten. A short paragraph to describe something we’re submitting for all the awards you’re going to win? No problem.
– • Strong AV storyteller with a broad understanding of the various tools and techniques that can be employed to keep a viewer engaged and delighted.
– • Effective problem-solver and strategic thinker; demonstrated ability to translate complex strategy and messaging goals into clear, compelling creative that breaks through.
– • Exceptional communication skills – Efficient and clear in day-to-day correspondence as well as when providing notes/feedback to partner teams or supporting team members.
– • Excellent presentations skills. Ability to craft compelling narratives and guide audiences through work to drive successful outcomes and facilitate rich debate and discussion.
– • High emotional intelligence – able to manage tricky conversations, empathize with others, overcome challenges and defuse conflict.
– • Ability to parse testing data and research insights in order to identify what elements should be incorporated into creative to ensure the optimal results.
– • Ability to develop style guides and companion collateral to assist partners in executing creative.
– • Strong familiarity with end-to-end production process for development of entertainment marketing assets including pre-production, shoots and post-production.
– • Fluent with Adobe Creative Suite

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

– • Proficiency in influencing stakeholders at all organizational levels, with exceptional interpersonal communication skills that enable you to effectively manage internal and external relationships within a dynamic, high-pressure environment.
– • Passion for music – Able to identify the right music for any given creative either through personal recommendation or by effectively providing sourcing partners with the right direction.
– • Experience developing assets for live sports campaign launches
– • Experience with on-set direction of talent and production partners
– • Experience with managing celebrity talent and athletes
– • Understanding of foundational brand-building process, strategies and activities.
– • Fundamental understanding of how to build dynamic, clear and consistent brand systems at scale
– • Experience building out and leading high-performing creative teams.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $166,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $274,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
