DESCRIPTION

Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Project Kuiper will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.

Export Control Requirements: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Candidates must be 18 years or older with the ability to understand and adhere to all job requirements and safety guidelines.

Key job responsibilities
– Accurately and efficiently ship and receive material for both production and development efforts
– Use proprietary software and ERP systems to virtually receive material
– Document system issues, process flaws and inefficiencies
– Communicate with engineering, quality control, purchasing and other related departments to resolve problems
– Efficiently move material between sites both physically and virtually
– Operate equipment including: forklifts, pallet jacks, electric pallet jacks, and hand cart
– Accurately track and account for all material and equipment loaded and unloaded from vehicles
– Accurate data collection while recognizing trends in volume
– Act as main point of contact for escalations for Transportation Coordinators
– Effectively communicate high priority matters with leadership
– Willing to work all shifts, including evenings and weekends, depending on business needs.

A day in the life
A day in the life of a Lead Transportation Coordinator includes, but is not limited to, offloading materials from trucks, receiving material against purchase orders, moving material between sites and locations internally, and communicating with internal customers to deliver results. Act as main point of contact for escalations for Transportation Coordinators.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

– High school diploma or equivalent
– 3 year in supply chain, operations, warehousing, inventory control or related experience
– 3 year experience using Microsoft Excel to navigate and interpret data
– 3 years leadership experience
– Able to lift up to 49 pounds
– Able to stand/walk for up to 10 hours

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

– Be comfortable working with high levels of ambiguity
– Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
– Previous dangerous goods training/knowledge

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $61,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $108,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
