DESCRIPTION

Amazon is seeking a smart, creative, and driven PR Manager to join the Sustainability and Community Impact team. In this role, you will oversee Amazon Community Impact , which focuses on how Amazon uses its scale for good to make a positive impact on communities in which it operates. This includes areas such as Education, Housing Relief, Food Security, and Disaster Relief by Amazon.

In this role, you will drive strategy and campaigns that help Amazon amplify the work its doing across its Community Impact pillars, both hyper-locally and nationally through earned media, events, social platforms and more. You will work closely with partner teams across Amazon, as well as with external agencies and external partners and therefore should have strong ability to collaborate. In addition, you should have experience providing counsel and working closely with senior leaders and executives. This role will also have three direct reports, which you will oversee and manage.

A successful candidate will be an excellent writer, have exceptional attention to detail, takes pride in organization, demonstrates a bias for action, and keeps consistently high standards.

Key job responsibilities
-Define and execute communications strategies and campaigns
-Work cross-functionally to plan and execute cross-channel communications plans
-Regularly interact with business teams and leaders to plan for launches and generate news
-Lead storytelling initiatives across earned and owned channels
-Manage a team with an ability to deliver results
-Build mechanisms and playbooks to streamline processes and create efficiencies

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

– 7+ years of recent professional communications or public relations experience
– Bachelor’s degree

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

– Experience in sustainability, community or corporate giving environments

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $114,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $188,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
