DESCRIPTION
The FSI-GTMS (Go-To-Market-Specialist) is responsible for helping sales leaders, account teams, and customers organize and execute a financial services industry-specific strategy on AWS by enabling the people, process, and programs necessary to drive business value. They provide industry expertise and support customers at the line of business. Financial services customers seek prescriptive guidance from experienced specialists in understanding how they easily, securely, and safely migrate to the cloud and are interested in learning how their global peers are adopting and innovating with cloud services.
Key job responsibilities
You will drive new business in P&C/Life insurance to accelerate our customers’ moves from legacy on-premises environments to AWS-based services. Your specialized industry knowledge and expertise bridges businesses and technology, and you understand the regulatory and compliance environment that our customer base operates in. You speak the language of our customers, mapping their business and regulatory needs to AWS services and partner-led solutions. Your responsibilities will include driving top line revenue growth and overall end-customer adoption across insurance in all market segments, from Insurtech startups to the largest insurers, reinsurers, brokers, and other intermediaries. You will enable AWS Financial Services field teams to be more effective in their interactions with key prospects and customers. The ideal candidate will possess a business development and P&C/Life insurance background within insurers, software vendors, or system integrators. The candidate should have demonstrated experience engaging with senior-level executives, and supporting account teams, on solutions sales or services opportunities. The candidate should have an understanding of the overall insurance landscape. Expertise in insurance core systems such as policy administration, claims, and billing; enterprise content management (ECM); business process management (BPM); Robotic Process Automation (RPA); or API middle-ware and integration layers, is a plus. You will have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges, and a proven track record of tactical execution leading to the achievement of sales and market development goals.

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– Bachelor’s degree
– 10+ years of insurance industry experience within insurers, software vendors, or system integrators.
– 10+ years of professional or military experience
– Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or Engineering degree
– Demonstrated understanding of the overall insurance landscape. Expertise across insurance value chain such as policy administration, claims, and billing; enterprise content management (ECM); business process management (BPM); Robotic Process Automation (RPA).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– MS or MBA Preferred
– In addition to overall insurance industry experience, experience with API middleware and integration layers, is a plus
– Experience working with or selling to Fortune 500 organizations.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $220,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
