DESCRIPTION
As an Application Analyst for our Business Planning & Strategy team you will work on a number of exciting projects such as creating analytical tools for business stakeholders to dive deep into their business performance, create advanced and automated predictive models across the business and create insightful analyses that form the foundation of our business plans. You will be part of a small and dynamic team with a significant charter that spans our global business, providing you many opportunities to make a meaningful impact.
Key job responsibilities
– Provide data management processes such as accessing raw data feeds, building queries and macros, writing VBA code, organizing data and designing reports that present status-at-a-glance visualization for business performance
– Retrieving and analyzing large sets of data using Excel, SQL, and other data management systems
– Designing and implementing reporting solutions to enable stakeholders to manage the business and make effective decisions
– Taking ownership of reporting processes to ensure that each report is accurate and timely with a high degree of customer focus in resolving data discrepancies
– Building and managing related key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure, control, and benchmark reporting processes
– Monitoring existent metrics, building new metrics, and partnering with internal teams to identify process and system improvement opportunities
– Supporting cross-functional teams on the day-to-day execution of the existent program implementation
– Generating complex queries to dive deep on process issues
– Innovating to improve internal customer experience

Amazon Hub pickup and returns points vision is to provide every customer, in every geography, a safe and reliable delivery and returns location in close proximity to where they live or work. We currently serve millions of customers across thousands of locations, including Amazon Lockers and Counters. Our goal is to ensure equivalent or better shipping speeds, pricing, and product selection that customers have grown to love from package delivery directly to their doorstep.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
– Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar software
– Advanced MS Excel capabilities, e.g. power queries, Macros (or VBA), pivot tables and data modelling
– Advanced SQL query writing including experience in automation in datamart
– Experience is using data manipulation and automation tools, e.g. Python, R or similar
– Experience in creating data visualizations using Amazon tools (with advanced filtering), preferably quicksight
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– 5+ years of finance, business management and sales operations experience
– Experience working within a high-growth, technology company
– Experience creating predictive models
– Experience in creating basic machine learning models
– Experience in creating and managing data pipelines
– AWS Cloud practitioner (or equivalent) certification, or similar experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $79,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $169,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
