DESCRIPTION
Amazon seeks a Financial Analyst to be a key member on the AGI/Alexa Finance team. The Alexa business is one of the fastest growing among Amazon’s portfolio of businesses and this is an exciting opportunity to join one of the most innovative businesses at Amazon. Amazon’s Finance team is searching for a candidate who can thrive in ambiguity and who can actively contribute to our talented team.
This candidate will be a strategic thinker, highly analytical, creative, and have a demonstrated ability to effectively manage financial responsibilities and decision making in a rapidly evolving business. This role requires a self-starter with strong modeling skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects effectively. This role also has regular interaction with senior executives, various business units, and multiple stakeholders across Amazon and requires strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Primary responsibilities include: – Leading short and long-term financial forecasting and planning for AWS cloud infrastructure costs across all Echo family devices and Alexa services
– Building financial reports, models, variance analysis, and cost allocations
– Measuring operational and business metrics
– Establishing controls and providing recommendations for infrastructure efficiency
– Presenting financial summaries and business insights to senior management
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
– 3+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
– 3+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience
– Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence
– Bachelor’s degree
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– MBA, or CPA
– Knowledge of Tableau
– Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
