DESCRIPTION
Amazon Business (AB) seeks a Finance Manager to join the WW Financial Planning & Analysis group. Our team interacts daily with global finance and business leaders within WW Amazon Business (Amazon’s rapidly-growing $35B Business-to-Business org). This role will design new and enhance existing mechanisms and models that make our Operating Expense data more actionable and will own global reporting functions during the various planning and reporting phases in finance.
The successful candidate will have the ability to tackle multiple projects and efficiently execute deliverables. The right individual will have strong communication skills and solid business acumen capable of driving results and improving processes. The successful candidate must be able to think and act both strategically and tactically. Strong oral and written communication skills are crucial, as well as ability to think clearly, analyze quantitatively, problem-solve and prioritize.
Key job responsibilities
– Interact with Finance stakeholders at multiple levels to understand business drivers of monthly variance
– Develop and report accurate, actionable, and timely financial and business metrics for monthly, quarterly and annual reviews
– Launch new mechanisms to track headcount and productivity across multiple business teams
– Support VP and most Senior Leader reviews with strong metrics and insights related to productivity and operating expenses
– Monitor and enhance existing processes and controls alongside AB’s Global Controller
– Manage the financial planning / budgeting process for Operating Expenses
– Lead and influence different stakeholders across multiple locations
– Develop ad hoc business analysis and present recommendations to department leaders
– Ability to work on multiple projects with aggressive deadlines
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
– BA or BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, Computer Science) and 5+ years of finance experience, or Master’s degree and 3+ years of finance experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– MBA, or CPA
– 7+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
– Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
– Experience in solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
