Video Advertising is rapidly evolving as customers shift their viewing experiences from traditional linear TV to streaming via connected devices, and Prime Video is a rising player in this space.
PV Ads CX team owns personalizing Ads experience for a customer on Prime Video. We work on balancing customer satisfaction, and engagement with monetization objectives by applying machine learning based solutions to customize the Ads experience.
Successful candidates have a solid background in distributed system design, service-oriented architecture, and machine learning. They have experience collaborating with scientists on solving problems using ML. They have experience owning and maintaining highly-available, mission-critical systems. Experience in Advertising domain is a plus. You will need to have strong problem-solving and technical abilities, great communication skills, a motivation to learn, and achieve results in a fast-paced environment with excellent analytical reasoning skills.
Key job responsibilities
As a SDE-II on the team, you will be responsible for:
– Driving cross-team initiatives and leading a team of developers on key initiatives.
– Collaborate with Senior and Principal Engineers, Product leaders, scientist and economists on building long term solutions.
– Mentoring engineers on the team.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
– 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
– Experience programming with at least one software programming language
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
– Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent
– Experience with working on large scale data at low latency.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
