In this role, you will: 1) support the development and execution of a global ‘Audit and Monitoring’ strategy across Operations Risk & Compliance (ORC) enabling program standardization across Transportation Risk & Compliance, Food Safety, Global Trade Services, and Environmental Assurance and Protection; 2) lead cross-organizational engagements to help standardize risk and compliance processes to improve productivity; and 3) support miscellaneous L8+ initiatives (e.g., QBR, OP1/2) as needed.
This is an individual contributor role that will help design scalable compliance frameworks and processes globally to help centralize and standardize field operation’s compliance activities, ultimately improving throughput and customer experiences. You will be expected to propose innovative approaches and risk mitigation strategies to enhance compliance efficiency and effectiveness. In this highly visible role (up to VP), you will work closely with leaders across compliance, safety, operations, legal, tech, and 3P companies to deeply assess existing compliance processes, associated Amazon/ regulatory requirements, and improvement opportunities. You will leverage experience from these engagements and independent assessments to create and influence an enhanced compliance strategy. The individual will be highly skilled with: working across various levels of ambiguity and complexity, engaging various organizations globally, deep dives into existing processes, communication (written and oral), Amazon doc writing, and navigating through strategic and tactical workloads.
Key job responsibilities
• Support development and execution of an Audit and Monitoring strategy across Operations Risk & Compliance.
• Support develop and execution of a field compliance framework across Operations Risk & Compliance.
• Influence without authority; work collaboratively and transparently with senior leaders across compliance, safety, finance, legal, operations, and technology teams to ensure alignment between core business and compliance priorities.
• Develop a working knowledge of the operational processes and controls in place that support all compliance programs.
• Assist with linking policies, standard operating procedures, internal controls, monitoring, and reporting with the goal of improving operations, compliance policies, and risk management.
• Communicate project issues and statuses in a concise, compelling, and professional manner to sr. leadership
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– 6+ years of compliance, audit or risk management experience
– Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level
– Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
– Strong Amazon document writer
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification
– Experience leveraging technology and implementing lean principles / Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements or equivalent
– Master’s degree or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $109,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
