DESCRIPTION

We are looking for an entrepreneurial, agile, and growth-minded candidate who is passionate about products and process optimization. In this role, you will own executing key operational functions for optimal P&L management, lead strategic short term business optimization projects, and provide vendor management support across multiple categories

Key job responsibilities
You will help drive operational improvements of Amazon Fresh Grocery Private Brands products and product development. Your overall goal is to lead product commercialization, optimize operational elements of our partnership with suppliers and drive business results. This includes:
– Owning execution of key P&L drivers while building new reports and optimizing processes (cost submissions, cost audits, pricing audits, distribution tracking, etc.)
– Commercializing and launching new products for a key category
– Providing vendor management support (including working with Senior Product Managers, Category Manager and Supply Chain managers) across multiple categories
– Owning complex strategic projects which require inputs from large group of stake holders
– Driving strategic product management SOPs for nuanced and complex categories and simplification projects

A day in the life
In this role, every day is different, and you have a wide breadth of responsibilities. In the same day, you might meet with suppliers to review cost changes, lead a project meetings to advance key initiatives, attend a prospective supplier call to evaluate capabilities, review pricing patterns across key categories, support a Senior product manager with data gathering from multiple sources, and spend some time working to progress the commercialization of a new product

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

– 3+ years of product management experience
– Experience performing financial or other quantitative analyses
– Experience in product, program, or project management in leading cross-functional teams in delivery of major new products or services
– Experience developing operational processes and technologies

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

– Knowledge of SQL and VBA at an advanced level
– Experience building and analyzing cost/benefit scenarios and business cases and communicating results throughout the organization

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
