The Creators team goal is to make Amazon the Earth’s most desired destination for commerce influencers, associates (publishers, bloggers, and more) and their content. We are a team of innovators that tackle difficult problems, and are laser-focused on building and enhancing products and experiences that drive growth for Creators. We seek to strengthen creators’ sense of community, fandom, credibility, and provide positive feedback loops. The Creator Monetization team provides brands with opportunities to tap into commerce Creators at Amazon, growing brands’ businesses, and creators’ earnings in the process.

We are seeking a customer-obsessed Sr. Sales & BD Tech Manager, to obsess over growing the ways that brands can collaborate with our creators, and leading the Sales and GTM for net-new and existing offerings. This will be a hybrid sales and revenue strategy & sales enablement role. This person will partner with the Ads organization to pitch Creator Sponsorships and Creator Connections while introducing new monetizable influencer products; managing the process from developing the go-to-market materials, operationalizing the offering including but not limited to, booking process and sales compensation incentives, and working with Account Executives to track adoption & iterate on the offering. This person will own the go-to-market for all new opportunities for brands to engage our Amazon creators, and evangelize creator sponsorship offerings with the ad sales organization, soliciting partners to test new products in the creator portfolio offering. They will own external facing materials from the monetization team, ensuring a cohesive voice, aesthetic, and narrative across pitch decks, external presentations, and educational assets for brands. They will think big to innovate on behalf of our creators and brands, work to enrich and improve the ways in which brands can partner with our creators, expand our go-to-market offerings, arm Ads with data in the form of case studies and benchmarks (including 3rd party insights), and prove performance for our brand customers by facilitating a feedback loop where brands can provide input to inform product, offering, or package enhancements at scale. They’ll collaborate with members of our agile team, including creator marketing, creator BD, finance, ad sales, ad sales finance, engineering, product and analytics to grow the business and help the team achieve our revenue goals.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable with ambiguity, can see around corners, and be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization. They are a self-starter who can collaborate cross-functionally, is extremely detail-oriented, and able to distill broad nebulous strategies into simple value propositions for brands to partner with creators at Amazon. They have strong track record of balancing a high volume of time sensitive tasks simultaneously, are comfortable and effective interfacing directly with clients, and can think big about opportunities to grow the business, while finding ways to automate for scale. They can influence up, down, and across and thrive in entrepreneurial environments. They have a proven track record of selling a program or products and leveraging VOC to inform net-new strategies and offerings. They excel at creating effective collateral to help brands understand the return on their investment in partnering with Amazon Creators.

Key job responsibilities
• Act as a sales person to drive revenue for creators including physical events, gifting, creator connections and net-new offerings that touch creators.
• Be customer obsessed for our brands, ensure that our clients receive white glove support throughout the sales process
• Develop the go-to-market and own the ongoing support of our portfolio sales strategy for brands to partner with creators on cross-channel sponsorship opportunities
• Respond to inbound requests from brand partners and internal stakeholder teams to evaluate new opportunities, facilitate sell through of existing partnership opportunities, and vet feasibility of any brand-requested customization
Implement scaled mechanisms to
• Own relationships with advertising sales and retail teams, driving demand for beta testing new initiatives, and championing the value proposition of partnering with creators to drive brands’ objectives
•Develop and introduce net-new monetizable influencer products that grow revenue and earning opportunities for creators
• Develop a mechanism to solicit automated and ongoing brand feedback on products and partner executions
• Partner with product and engineering managers to translate that feedback to actionable feature enhancements, roadmap items, and product innovation to benefit our customers and realize full entitlement
• Maintain and update our wiki to house all of the available opportunities for brands, pitch materials for AEs, and corresponding requirements for any partnership activation(s)
• Partner with ad sales finance to ensure that all brand sponsorship opportunities are commissionable for the ad sales team, and our offering is profitable
• Operationalize our offering in partnership with the ad sales systems and platform teams, helping to drive reporting, and visibility across salesforce and our OMS
• Develop and continuously iterate on the value proposition, pricing strategy, metric availability, and client solutions to meet customer needs, partnering with analytics and the BDTMs to drive enhancements and adoption
• Create case studies and benchmarks that illustrate the value proposition and brands’ expected ROI in partnering with creators
• Effectively articulate the value of creator partnership opportunities through crisp sales collateral and strong verbal presentation skills
• Analyze campaign performance and make recommendations to improve the available metrics and product or offering innovation to increase the ROI we’re able to showcase for brands through creator partnerships
• Independently & autonomously prioritize and deliver high quality strategy documentation and sales marketing collateral

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

– 6+ years professional non-internship sales marketing experience
– Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
– Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
– Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs
– Experience leading go-to-market for new program launches

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

– Experience in influencer, affiliate marketing

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $220,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
