DESCRIPTION
The Centralized Sr. Software Engineering (SDE III) Recruiting team is a new team being built, to support AIGC, Devices and Entertainment in North America. Responsibilities include delivering to the SDE III hiring demand, building the operation, and driving efficiency gains alongside your teammates. SDE III hiring is business critical, as SDE IIIs are technical leaders who are integral in leading the design, development, build and delivery of scalable, software systems that perform while also creating delightful experiences to Amazon’s customers. This role is on a team at the forefront of technological innovation, working closely with GenAI Strategists to test, advise, and be the Voice of the Customer on GenAI products that will revolutionize how we source talent.
Candidates must be able to successfully manage, prioritize, and fulfill job searches against a timeline and have experience setting benchmarks and metrics. They must understand how to prioritize and achieve SLAs. The best candidates will draw on robust knowledge of recruiting SDE III candidates, forging dynamic relationships with business leaders, hiring managers, recruiters, and HR business partners. They have a reputation for being exceptional at candidate generation, client/account management, organizational skills, verbal and written communication skills, have an ability to prioritize their time, demonstrate pushback and a sense of urgency, and understand the value of providing amazing customer service.
Key job responsibilities
• Partner with hiring teams to build effective sourcing and candidate assessment approaches with the ability to manage customer/partner expectations.
• Must be able to understand how to recruit passive, SDE III candidates.
• Develop sourcing models and plans to generate SDE III talent pools; create and execute robust search strategies that will attract the best and brightest talent; calibrate candidates with hiring managers.
• Influence and provide strategic guidance to business leaders on the approach and process of landing talent.
• Recommend ideas and strategies related to recruitment that will contribute to the long-range growth of the company, implementing any new processes and fine-tuning standard processes for recruiting that fits within Amazon’s mission to deliver the highest quality results to the customer.
• Articulate in writing a plan with deliverables, timelines, and a formal tracking process.
• Possess strong ability to screen, interview and prepare a candidate slate within an appropriate and consistent timeline.
• Dive into and analyze data to share the narrative.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– 5+ years of technology recruiting experience
– Experience managing and prioritizing multiple searches, projects and client relationships
– Experience with CTS/ATS with sourcing, tracking and managing candidates
– Experience building and utilizing a variety of sourcing plans and tools, including proactive phone and internet research
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– Experience across other functional areas of talent acquisition, ideally diversity recruiting, research or analytics

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $124,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $205,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
