Then this is the role for you. Amazon Payment Products team in Seattle is looking for TPM leader to manage a team of Technical Program Managers.

Key job responsibilities
This role requires working closely with your team of technical program managers, engineering teams, product management teams, and business teams in Seattle, Vancouver and Arlington to lead them towards launch. This position involves regular communication with our leadership on status, risks, plans, and changes in launch strategy. Excellent communication – both verbal and writing skills and strong technical competency is a must.

You will be a driving force within and outside of Payments Products team. You will lead your team and your key stakeholder teams to identify and implement critical programs. You will lead your team with empathy, develop career plans and identify growth opportunities for your team members.

The ideal candidate has thrived and succeeded in delivering broadly adopted technology products/services in a very high growth environment where priorities shift quickly. They are a strong leader who can prioritize well, communicate clearly and compellingly and who understands how to drive a high level of focus and excellence. They will have hands-on technical project and program management skills, leading large cross-functional programs & projects from definition to launch. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

– 10+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
– 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
– 3+ years of software development experience
– 2+ years of experience managing technical teams
– Demonstrated experience hiring and developing high-performing teams
– Demonstrated ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and evaluate outcomes.
– Ability to roll up sleeves and operate as an individual contributor to get the job done; at the same time be able to guide a team toward an objective.
– Able to provide architectural guidance and direction throughout the project lifecycle.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

– Master’s degree in Computer Science/Math or related field
– Deep hands-on technical expertise, prior experience as a software developer
– Experience in Agile development methodologies, deep understanding of software development in large teams, and a track record of shipping software on time
– Experience managing teams of 6+ people
– Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
– Payments experience would a plus

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $147,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $254,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
